Inventory Control/Surplus Property

The purposes of Inventory Control/Surplus Property are to:

  • Maintain correct and current information of departmental property inventory
  • Tag new equipment.
  • Update inventory records of all purchases over $500 in purchase price
  • Approve the transfer of equipment between departments
  • Approve the transfer of equipment to Surplus property
  • Process yearly manual inventory counts by the departments
  • Keep the University in compliance with the inventory regulations put forth by the Commonwealth.
