Insurance Requirements

The contractor shall provide and include in the price the cost of the following minimum insurance coverage:

 General/Public Liability    $1,000,000 One person/Max
   $1,000,000 One accident/Max
 Property Damage    $1,000,000 One accident/Max
 Vehicle Liability
(To include all vehicles/equipment owned or non-owned) 
   $100,000 Each person
   $300,000 Each accident Bodily Injury
   $100,000 Property damage each accident

Worker's Compensation

The successful vendor will be required to assure by affidavit, that all contractors and subcontractors employed or will be employed, shall be in compliance with Kentucky requirements for Worker's Compensation Insurance according to KRS Chapter 342 and Unemployment Insurance according to KRS Chapter 341. This affadavit must be furnished prior to the award of a contract. Affidavit is to be received by Murray State University within five (5) calendar days after notification. Failure to provide affidavit as specified may be grounds for disqualification of bid.

If a worker's compensation insurance certificate is provided to MSU then an affidavit is not necessary.

Please note that other coverages may be required for capital construction or other specialized services. Please check with your buyer for additional requirements.
