ADR Sealant/Adhesives has developed a series of sealants based on reactive chemistries.  Reactive systems are high performance sealants that offer physical properties that include high strength and flexibility, as well as excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates such as wood, paper, metals, fabric, foam, and plastics.  Most of our reactive chemistry applications revolve around the areas involving medical fabrics and Flame Retardant Fabrics.  For instance, surgical drapes and gowns which make up the bulk of today’s medical fabrics must be able to withstand numerous cycles of sterilization and laundering, yet deliver a “soft hand” or comfortable pliability and fit.  ADR’s StickyTM reactive hot melts offer this unique combination of durability and bond performance.  In addition, ADR provides adhesives with excellent halogen-free fire retardation properties that allow for the construction of fabrics with easy draping and exceptional durability for applications such as automotive seat covers and furniture as well as fire fighter Kevlar suit construction.
