Overview

ADR Sealants/Adhesives is a company that provides adhesives, sealants, and coatings for the manufacture of other, more familiar brand-name merchandise. We create various products that you’ve maybe never heard of, but that are used in the essentials you’d rather not live without.

Your day probably begins and ends with us. Your cereal box, refrigerator, laundry detergent box, automobile, your baby’s disposable diaper, all require products we manufacture. Just about everywhere you look, even the windows you look through and the magazines you read, you’ll find manufactured goods using adhesives, sealants, or coatings produced by ADR Sealants/Adhesives.

ADR Sealants/Adhesives manufactures and markets specialty chemicals used in thousands of formulations, and hundreds of thousands of applications worldwide. The company has direct operations in over 25 countries in North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.

It was in 1960 when Alfred D. Riggins began dabbling in glue, figuring that the world needed a convenient, economical, strong adhesive, an adhesive so versatile that both homemakers and manufactures could use it. By 1965, Riggins had settled in Tree Hill, Michigan, founded the company that is his namesake, and continued to seek new opportunities for his adhesives. Alfred set the precedent for convenient, economical, effective, and versatile products. Almost 40 years later ADR Sealants/Adhesives is sticking with that philosophy and using today’s technology to leverage what we’ve learned.

ADR Sealants/Adhesives is now headquartered in Racerville, KY, and employs over 20,000 people. Global sales totaled $10.287 billion last year. Common stock is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol ADR.
