must exchange 20 hours of work each month for studio space and utilities, technical
consultations/discussions, and a spring show in the Dow's Gallery. Open to visual

Tree National Park, Park Stewardship through the Arts, 74485
National Park Drive, 29 Palms, CA 92277--located in 794,000 acres in the Mojave
and Colorado deserts, with soaring granite cliffs and spires, and forests of
Joshua trees. Writers and visual artists stay for 4 week periods from January
through May; accomodations in rustic cabins or trailers. No stipend or fees.
Applicants must be mid-career, with a strong national exhinition or publication
record, usually affiliated with a college, museum, or arts organization. (visual

Luna Artist-in-Residency Program, 2462A Glenarm Pl., Denver, CO 80205. (303) 293-2850. Located in an old school house in San Acacio, CO. On-going deadline; no minimum residency requirement. Four large spartan studio/sleeping quarters; short-term guests and well-behaved pets OK. Kitchen facilities, but artists provide own food. Open to writers, sculptors, jewelers, painters, dancers, musicians, photographers, ceramicists, healers, body workers, chefs and restauranteurs. alpine meadows, the Continental Divide, and abundant wildlife. Residence in
a rustic, historic cabin for 2 week periods from June through Sept.; no stipend;
artists asked to donate one completed work of art in their medium and to provide
one public program. 6-8 artists per year. Open to 2D visual artists, photographers,
