and Meetings:
The AITP and ACM had a joint
meeting on Thursday, November 6th at 4:30 P.M. A lecture was given by
Mr. Patrick S. Powell, the Director of the Innovation and Commericialization
Center that is being built at the 16th and KY 121. He is part of the
New Economy Initiative that is being funded by the State Government
to fuel new and innovative business models. Mr. Powell's background
is Business/Computer Science and he started his career as a programmer.
The director's activities
are as follows:
1. Recruit clients
2. Build service provider network
3. Build investor (K-Net) network
4. Establish new economy offices
5. Develop MSU business incubator

Door prizes were given to
Jamie O., Mohamed M., and Anhtu. Pizza and drinks were also served after
the lecture.
Trips: Students went
to a trip to CSI in Paducah on Friday, October 24th.
