Grade
Computer The grade
computer will give your current course average as well as what
you need to get on the next exam in order to have a target course
average. You may also play with entering as many hypothetical
grades as you wish to see what effect they will have on the final grade. Example on how to use: you have a
participation score of 3, you have a MyMathLab score of 81, and you have worksheet
scores of 45, 31 and 52 (out of 50, 42 and 56), and you
have two exam scores of 74 and 75 (assumed out of 100). Enter in the first
four rows: 3 Note 1: If you don't know your participation score, put in 2: that way, you are off by at most 2 points. Note 2:
The maximum non-exam total has been
filled-in and is updated periodically. If the information is
out of date, you may enter the newest maximal number. Keep in mind that
exam grades are entered on a 0-100 scale. Note 3: You will need to
provide all the fields up to at least exam 1 in order for the computer
to work. The computer ignores any information after the first blank exam field (try it: if
you enter just exams 1 and 3 you will see that nothing changes after
you alter exam 3). Note 4: if you enter three exam grades, the computer may report you need 0 points on the next exam (final) to have a particular grade, say 70. Since the final exam only replaces your two weakest exam grades, if your grades before the final already support 70, then you don't need any points on the final exam to make a 70 overall. Note 5: the computer assumes that non-exam scores are always 8% of the grade and that MyMathLab scores are 8% of the grade. Disclaimer: This grade computer is for information purposes only. My records and computation are what will determine your final grade. Let me know if the computer acts in a suspicious way. |
