How to Log In to the E-Study Center

  1. Go to the E-Study Center Homepage (http://estudy.murraystate.edu/)
    (The page should open in a new window. You can refer back to this help page while going through the Login process.)
  2. Click on the Login button.

  3. Type in your Username.
    (Your username is the same as your MSU email username, such as your first name, a period (.), and your last name. For example: john.doe)
    NOTE: If you do not know your murraystate.edu email address, log in to the PIN system and look under Personal Information.
  4. Type in your Password.
    (Your password has been carried forward from Blackboard 5.5. New users' passwords will be set to the last 4 digits of your SS#. For example: 6789. We recommend that you change your password as soon as you log in.)
  5. Click on the Login button.

Trouble Logging In?

Student access problems are almost always due to one of three situations:

  1. Student information has not been placed in the course.
    The student may have unresolved issues with the Registrar's office, such as unpaid tuition. The student should contact the Registrar's office and see if there is a hold on his account. Student information will be entered into the E-Study course 24 hours following clearance by the Registrar. We will add students daily throughout the drop/add period.
  2. The student has changed his/her password and forgotten it.
    Remember that passwords are case sensitive. Blackboard provides a way for users to receive automatic password assistance (see Forgot your password? on the login page). However, your Blackboard email address must be correct in order for the system to function properly. When you login the first time, make sure that the email address in Blackboard is one you use regularly.   3. Students are not using the correct login sequence.
    The E-Study login is the same as your email address. See Username login information above for the correct procedure.

If you are certain you have correctly entered your username and password but are denied entry to the system, send an email to e.study@murraystate.edu to let us know of the problem, or telephone 270-809-6116 or 2535 between 8:00AM and 4:30PM (CST or CDST). Please include your username, last 4 digits of your SSN, telephone number where you may be reached, the course number and the error message you are receiving. You will be contacted as quickly as possible with a resolution for your problem. You should also inform your instructor of the problem you have encountered.
