How-To's:
Attention! Fill out the
Blackboard Course Form to create a new course or copy an existing course.
To
Create a New Blackboard Course: Fill out the Blackboard Course Form to copy an existing course and rename it with new semester and section numbers. Your previous course will remain on the server for 12 months. The new course will include all previous items, except for the student roster.
Student Enrollment: The student rosters will automatically be loaded to the E-Study courses when the rosters are made available. This will eliminate the need for instructors to send a separate email when they are ready for students to be added. To prevent students from accessing your course before a desired time, change the Course Availability under Course Settings. If you need to have students or TA's added manually, send an e-mail to e.study@murraystate.edu with their first and last name and the last 4 digits of their SSN.Students who are on probation or who have unresolved payment issues will appear in the course on the day AFTER the problem has been resolved.
To Keep Students' Records if They Have Dropped Your Course: If you wish to keep the records of a student who has dropped the course, you can set the user's course properties to Unavailable. This will prevent the student from receiving future e-mail messages that you send to the course. To Export (Backup) your Gradebook: Go to How to Export Your Gradebook from Blackboard for instructions.
