Jody Cofer, Academic Program Specialist at Murray State University (MSU), coordinates initiatives that engage undergraduate students in high-impact, faculty-mentored experiences better preparing them for graduate study and/or competitive careers.  Also, Jody is a member and former Co-Chair of the MSU President’s Commission on Diversity and Inclusion. During the 2009 and 2010 academic years, Jody co-coordinated the creation of the institution’s 2011-2015 Diversity Plan.  Aside from his responsibilities at MSU, Jody is a Board member and former chairperson of the Kentucky Fairness Alliance.  He currently serves as Co-Chair of the Equality Federation Board of Directors.  Since 2008, his responsibilities within the Federation have included chairing the Meetings Committee that coordinates planning efforts associated with the group’s annual Summer Meeting.  He was the founding chairperson of the Marshall County (KY) Commission for the Arts and a former Board member of the Kentucky Alliance for Arts Education.  He enjoys regular exercise and his involvement in performing and visual arts.
