Ashley Fannin, senior psychology major from Murray, Ky., and Michelle Farney, senior psychology major from Evansville, In., have been selected to present their undergraduate research at the annual meeting of the Association for Psychological Science. Read the release here. Posted 5/11/09

Rebecca Feldhaus, 2008 MSU senior and 2007-08 Research Scholar Fellow, completed her undergraduate research project "Marian Anderson: A Voice for the Seemingly Silent." During the summer of 2008, Rebecca's work on her project, in part, played a role in her securing a public relations internship at the Washington National Opera in Washington, DC. - Posted 7/30/08 - Rebecca was selected as Outstanding Senior Woman for December 2009. Michael Gilbert, senior biological sciences major from Ledbetter, Ky, received a $500 Undergraduate Research Grant to conduct research with Dr. Michael Flinn. Read the release here. Poster 10/8/12.

Lucas Tanner-Gray, senior economics major, conducted research with Dr. David Eaton on "The Economist's Sandbox: Economic Research in Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games." Read the release here.

Ebone' Hatcher, 2007 MSU graduate and 2006-07 Research Scholar Fellow, completed her undergraduate research project "Applying the Material Appropriate Processing (MAP) Framework to Learning Through Video and Text." Ebone' presented her project at the Association for Psychological Science Annual Convention. She is now pursuing a doctorate at Temple University. - Posted 7/30/08

Laura Kight, 2006 MSU graduate and author of "Kate Chopkin's Exploration of Freedom and Trauma in 'The Story of an Hour'." Laura spent the summer of 2007 working as an intern for the Illinois Attorney General. She is currently working on her law degree at Indiana University School of Law. Michael Snyder, 2008 MSU graduate and co-author of "Photonic Dipole Contours of A Ferrofluid Hele-Shaw Cell", was recently published in Reinvention: A Journal of Undergraduate Research published by the University of Warwick and Oxford Brookes University in the United Kingdom. He is currently in the graduate program at the University of Louisville pursueing a master's degree in Physics and working as a teaching graduate assistant. Robin Spears and Philip Miller, Murray State University (MSU) alumni, and their faculty mentor Dr. Harry Fannin, Professor of Chemistry, co-authored a study entitled “A Low-Power, Reduced-Pressure Inductively Coupled Helium Plasma Source for Atomic Emission and Absorption” and recently had their work published in the journal Applied Spectroscopy.  Read the announcement here and a copy of the research here. Courtney Thomason, 2007 MSU graduate and co-author of "A GIS Map of Lyme Disease Risk in Kentucky", recently completed her first semester at Texas Tech University where she is pursuing a doctorate in Biology.
