The process of internal assessment by the institution serves to stimulate evaluation and improvement and provide continuing accountability to constituents and the public. Accreditation is based on the institutional commitment to student achievement complemented by support structures and resources that allow for the total growth and development of its students. It requires the internal review by the institution and peer review by other members of the association.
