During our 9:00 campfire meeting, we took a look at the web site photographs from yesterday and reviewed what we did. Then we set out on our first activity, which was to design, build, and program a robot to respond for six seconds to something we do. This meant that we needed to include at least one sensor in our design. This was a lot of fun, and produced many different models! Then, we focused on the theme of the day, "Play Soccer." We worked on robotic models for "Goal Kicker," "Goal Keeper," and "Cheerful Fans." We also talked about our plans for tomorrow, our last day of camp.
