Day 4, June 19, 2003 MSU Morning Group |
Bump-N-Go, Bulldozer
Bowling, and Trolley Car were the challenging events campers used
their construction and programming skills to complete today. Trolley
Car required one motor and a gear assembly to maneuver a trolley
across a string. Next, teams were introduced to the touch sensors. The touch sensors allowed campers to bump their robots
into objects to trigger steps in their robot programs. Bulldozer
Bowling required teams to engineer a robot that would move a set
number of film canisters a given distance.
Teams learned a variety of skills all in preparation for the Robot Derby events
to be held on Day Five. Parents, grandparents, family, and friends, you are all welcome to join the
Derby Day events after our morning break at 10:30 so your camper can demonstrate
some of his or her projects.
