The candidate was presented with the following questions. The responses are printed as received and have not been edited by Staff Congress.

1. Why would you like to serve on Staff Congress?
I love being a MSU staff member! I would like to serve on Staff Congress so I can help make a difference for current and future employees. I want to use my experience in furthering Staff Congress goals as well as being a voice for our valuable employees. I feel every staff member plays a critical role in the overall success of the university. MSU staff is a vital part of the university backbone and serves as the front line to many constituents. I want to be a voice for their needs in addition to sharing their ideas to continue making Murray State University a great place to work.

2. Please list work experience and community involvement. I have worked on campus for eight years as an administrative assistant. I began my service at MSU in the College of Education and Human Services (COEHS). In the latter part of 2015, I took a position in the Curris Center Administration office. These positions have given me a wealth of knowledge regarding both the academic side as well as student life. While working on campus, I have served on several types of committees while working with the COEHS and in my current role at the Curris Center. I am also a member of the MSU Social Media Administrators Resource Team.

Trish is a candidate in the Secretarial/Clerical category.
