Have you served on Staff Congress before? Yes
If so, how long did you serve? 3 years (2013-Current)

The candidate was presented with the following questions. The responses are printed as received and have not been edited by Staff Congress.

1. Why would you like to serve on Staff Congress?
I've enjoyed serving the past 3 years and would like to continue. I've participated in the Working Conditions and Personnel Policies/Benefits committees. I believe in Shared Governance and the ability for Staff Congress to be a part of that. I would like to continue the work that Staff Congress does, to support the staff and how we fit into the University plan. Part of my day job is to look for solutions, a colleague once told me "There are NO problems, only solutions". I firmly believe that we can make a difference. I would be grateful for the opportunity to continue as your Staff Congress representative and ask that you vote for me.

2. Please list work experience and community involvement. I've been in the technology field for the last 20+ years. I've been extremely fortunate to work in the local area for SaveSmart, Ag Connections, FLW Outdoors, DEVsource, SEBook and now at Murray State. I've been here in Murray since 1994 and I'm proud to call it home. I work in Information Systems within Enterprise Application Services department. I primarily support the Financial Aid department. Financial Aid depends on data from other areas, so I've had to acquire knowledge of areas such as: Registrar, Admissions, Accounts Receivable, Housing, and Scholarships. I'm also responsible for supporting Public Safety Parking Office. I've volunteered at the Richmond College move-in day during Great Beginnings and the Staff Congress Children's Christmas party. I've also been an Adjunct Faculty for the Computer Science department for the last 5 years.

Chad is a candidate in the Executive / Managerial / Professional category.
