Have you served on Staff Congress before? No
If so, how long did you serve?

The candidate was presented with the following questions. The responses are printed as received and have not been edited by Staff Congress.

1. Why would you like to serve on Staff Congress?
I would like to serve on Staff Congress because I believe it is important for university staff members to remain involved with campus affairs. In order to achieve this level of involvement, Staff Congress must include individuals that are both willing and able to communicate the thoughts and concerns of staff members. I believe that I am an individual capable of doing just that. My experience in the leadership of student organizations during my law school career has given me the ability to unify the voice of a large group. I can take the thoughts and concerns of staff members and communicate them clearly to the leadership to create positive change for our university. Additionally, I have experience from several law school committees that ranged from community service to event planning. This experience would allow me to contribute on various Staff Congress committees as a means to accomplish specific staff goals. Overall, my goal as a Staff Congress representative is to provide our staff members with a channel through which they may voice concerns to and receive information from our university leadership.

2. Please list work experience and community involvement.
Work Experience - Murray State University: Director of Athletics Compliance (2012 - Present) - University of Louisville Athletics Compliance (2010-2012) Community Involvement - Athletics Department SAAC Canned Food Drive (2012 & 2013) - Collected an average of 6,000 canned food items for the local Needline food bank each year. - University of Louisville School of Law Angel Tree (2009-2011) - Solicited, collected, and donated gifts for an average of 75 Louisville-area children each year.
