Shanna Burgess

1. Why would you like to serve on Staff Congress?
I would like to serve on Staff Congress because I enjoy working at Murray State University and I want to give back to the campus community by serving staff in this capacity. I feel like all staff have a voice in making our campus the best place to work and we can work together to accomplish this goal.

2. Please list work experience and community involvement.
I have worked at MSU for 14 years in the area of Student Affairs. I worked as an Academic Specialist in TRiO Student Support Services (SSS) for ten years and have been the director of SSS for the past four years. I am actively involved in my state association and serve on the board of executives. I also serve on our regional association's board. I am actively involved in my church and try to be involved in community events as time permits. I have a four-year-old who keeps me very busy.
