Gamma Beta Phi General Meeting

Minutes for

November 18, 1999

President: Kevin Clouse called the meeting to order by wishing everyone a good end-of-semester. The next meeting will be held to elect a new President, Recording Secretary, Public Relations Officer, and Historian on December 2 at 9:00 p.m. only. Kevin needs a list of all the members who are graduating so we can get your seal for your diploma.

Vice President: Wyatt Alverson announced the next education committee meeting will be Wednesday, December 1, at 6:00 PM. We are still collecting Campbell Soup Labels, General Mills Box tops, and aluminum can tabs. These can be brought to any meeting or to Lori Dial’s office. If anyone has been tutoring in area schools, then you need to see Wyatt so you can get credit for that service.

Corresponding Secretary: Casey Johnson announced that the last day to collect Campbell’s Soup Labels is Friday. The hospital trip is set to happen before the end of the semester. More information will be given at the Service Committee Meeting on Monday, November 29, 1999 at 5:00 p.m. on the third floor of the Curris Center. In the next few days, we need as many items brought in for the hospital as possible. When these items arrive, we need people to help out on the trip to the hospital. It is possible that we will have the project broadcast on MSU TV 11. Points will be abundant if you involve yourselves in this, so be active.

Recording Secretary: Doug Cecil announced the point totals are being added up, but most people have less than 10 or 15 points so be sure to get your mandatory points by the end of the semester. The web page will be updated soon.

Treasurer: Jennifer Hibbs announced that we still have T-shirts for sale for $10.00. You will get two points for buying a shirt and one point for wearing it to Gamma Beta Phi functions.

Public Relations: Kristy Kilcoyne thanks everyone who attended the Social Event at Corvette Lanes. Kristy will have a Social Committee meeting after the 4:30 general meeting to discuss plans for a Christmas party. If you are unable to attend, you may call her with any ideas at 753-5574.
