Gamma Beta Phi Minutes
General Meeting Minutes
October 25, 2001

Gamma Beta Phi SGA Representative Stephanie Warford announced that schedules are out and, due to a limited supply this year, students should pick up one and hang on to it because more may not be available if it is misplaced. Grades will not be mailed this year and can be accessed through MSU’s PIN system online. Students must have fees paid in order to get their grades. Stephanie announced that The Source would be coming out online this year. The Source contains faculty evaluations and grade distributions of faculty. Stephanie said that Nickel Creek would be in concert November 9 and Star Flicks would be coming for students to make videos November 12 in the Curris Center.

The Vice President of the Psychology club announced that they would be having a yard sale next Saturday, the 27th. Members can donate stuff to be sold in Winslow and Wells Hall.

President:
Casey Johnson dealt with business concerning updating the e-mail list and members whose e-mail accounts are not working. Casey said induction would be November 5, 2001, at 7:00 p.m. in the Curris Center Theatre. He said the Induction committee would meet afterwards to discuss final details. According to Casey, the treasurer was unable to make it tonight, so he made some announcements for her. Gatti’s night was a success, and the next one will be in two weeks (November 7th from 6:00-9:00p.m.). The bake sale was also a success, and the next one will be November 16 again in Faculty Hall. Casey said Larissa could only be there until 9:30 a.m., so any help would be appreciated. Bakes goods are also needed and can be brought to Lori Dial’s office the Thursday before or given to Larissa or brought that morning. Larissa’s fundraising committee will be November 1 at 4:30 on the third floor of the Curris Center. Casey said officers are working on getting quotes for t-shirts.

Vice-President:
Anne Harper reported that, unfortunately, the trip to Nashville to see Dracula this Sunday is cancelled. She said she is, however, planning a trip to see Cats in early December, possibly the 1st or 2nd. She will be having an educational committee meeting October 29th at 4:30, third floor of the Curris Center.

Corresponding Secretary:
Audrey Hamilton reported that this Saturday would be the trip to the Animal Shelter to walk dogs and give puppy baths. Anyone wanting to go can meet at Sparks Hall at 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning. Audrey will give anyone a ride who needs one. She is also having a service committee meeting November 7th at 5:00 p.m. At the meeting she will be working on setting a date for the sports camp for the Boys and Girls club in Paducah and planning projects for a trip to the hospital, etc.

Recording Secretary:
Amanda Gerrish asked all members to please fill out all their information on the sign-up sheet so that she can update her records with the correct information. She said that induction is coming up soon. Members need to pay their dues and plan to attend induction to earn more points.

Treasurer:
Larissa Cook was unable to attend. The President, Casey Johnson, took care of all of her announcements.

Historian:
Alison Marr announced that her next scrapbook meeting would be scheduled for Thursday, November 8th at 4:30 in the 3rd floor tree lounge.

Public Relations:
