Gamma Beta Phi Minutes

April 13, 2000

President: Wyatt Alverson confirmed that all members should accumilate the required points before the end of the semester. Even though there are no more meetings for the spring semester, there are still more activities that people should be involved with. Also, he announced the elections for the positions: Vice President, Treasurer, and Corresponding Secretary.

Vice President: Casey Johnson prepared for a hospital trip. We will meet in front of Sparks Hall on Saturday 29^th of April at 10:30 in the morning.  We will then go to the Hospital as a group and should be done within one hour. Members can bring in stuff such as crossword puzzles, ankle socks, shampoo, lotion, costume jewelry, pencils, maybe some peppermints, etc.

Corresponding Secretary: Sharaf Alkibsi was planning for an Easter party to the Child Development Center with the service committee but it did not work out this year. It required more time preparations than was expected.

Treasurer: Jennifer Hibbs reminded that there are T-shirts for sale and members can earn points for buying them. Jennifer also bought some cakes and drinks for the membership at the general meeting time. She also gave prizes to members who achieved highest number of points during the semester.

Recording Secretary: Doug Cecil has passed the point’s sheet. For more details of how to get points check out with the other officers. Anyone has questions about points, should ask him.

Public Relations: Kent Bohanon thanked those who attended the movie night. Also, there will be a freshman orientation on the third floor of the Curris Center on Saturday April 15, 2000. Members interested in representing Gamma Beta Phi can earn points and get involved. Please sign up.

Historian: Alyson Holbrook asked the member for any pictures of GBP events to contact her. She would borrow them and have copies. If you find any article about a GBP member, she would like to put it on the scrapbook.
