Gamma Beta Phi Announcement Board

Instead of providing a mass email to all members each month, the Executive Council collectively decided that we would post all announcements here.  You are encouraged to check here and the Calendar of Events page each month to stay up to date on all Gamma Beta Phi functions.

$15 for existing members, due at 1st meeting

December 2004

Movie Night will be on Dec. 9th at 7:20pm at the Cheri Theater on Chestnut Street. Please bring a canned good for your admission to the movie (Christmas with the Kranks).

November 2004

You can pay dues at the induction on November 18th at 6:00 p.m. in the Curris Center Theatre. Dues are $15.00.

There are a few opportunities for points this semester:
Shoebox Drive, where you fill a shoebox with toys and non-perishable items, put your name on the box and indicate you are a GBP member to receive 2 points for this. You can turn them in at any residential college or at Lori Dial's office in the basement of Sparks Hall.

We are also planning a movie night were you can donate a canned good for admission to a movie. Details about this will come later.

If you would like a shirt please visit Lori's office they are marked down to $8.00.

April 2004

The final Gamma Beta Phi Meeting of the 2003-2004 School Year will be held on April 29th at 5 and 9 pm in the Curris Center Barley Room. If you are interested in an office for the upcoming year, please email Tim Travis to find out more information on which positions are available.

4 December 2003 - Our next meeting is scheduled for December 4, at 9p.m. in the Barkley Room.
We will be holding elections for the following offices:
 

President
Recording Secretary
Social Chair
Webmaster
 

If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else for these positions
please contact Michelle Hastings before the meeting. You have to be present
to be elected. We will not meet at 5p.m. on December 4th.
 

Induction will be held on December 1st at 8pm. in the curris center ballroom.
All members are encouraged to attend if you are interested in helping contact
Michelle.
 

Gamma Beta Phi National Conference will be held on February 13th and 14th in
Nashville.
 

We will be taking a trip to the Nashville Zoo on March 27th at 11a.m.
 

$20 was made at the bake sale, thanks to everyone who helped out.
 

If you have not paid your dues please do so ASAP.
 

You can earn points by doing volunteer work in other organizations just email
the recording secretary. You can also earn points by bringing can goods to
the next meeting.
 

A listserv is being created through murraystate.edu to send out reminders and
updates about upcoming events to members.
