MyGate Fridays
The ERP Steering Committee, which includes the President and Vice Presidents, recently approved the implementation of “MyGate Friday” which allows a limited number of offices in Sparks Hall to be closed Friday mornings from 8:00 a.m until noon, beginning November 30, 2007 through the remainder of the 2007-2008 academic year.
This temporary change in schedule is essential to the success of the implementation of the ERP system and will allow time for the offices to fully focus on the implementation. A university staff member will be available at the front desk on the first floor in Sparks Hall to answer telephones and accept mail and other deliveries for the offices involved. Personnel from all offices will be available for urgent business and will promptly respond to items or messages, as appropriate.
Even though the ERP implementation requires many hours beyond “normal” business operations, this time on Friday mornings will ultimately lead to the implementation of a better product for our students, staff, and faculty. The administration will review the effectiveness of “MyGate Fridays” at the completion of the spring semester. Please examine the list of offices below that will be participating:
- Admissions Services
- Bursar’s Office
- Financial Aid
- Registrar (including Registration)
- Scholarship
- Accounting and Finance
- Human Resources
- Student Loan Accounting
