Username Help

If you have forgotten your Murray State email address, you can find it by logging into myGate:

First log in to myGate using your myGate username and password.
Once logged in, make sure you are on the "Home" tab. This tab should be highlighted in blue, and is the default tab.
On the left hand side, there is a box called "MSU Web Account Services." The first option "Change MSU Email Password." will have your email address displayed.

If you have forgotten your password for webmail, you can change your password within myGate:

First log in to myGate using your myGate username and password.
Once logged in, make sure you are on the "Home" tab. This tab should be highlighted in blue, and is the default tab.
On the left hand side, there is a box called "MSU Web Account Services." Click on the first option, "Change MSU Email Password." Your email address will be displayed with the link.
You will need to type your new password twice, and then click "Submit."
Be sure to follow the password creation rules:
- Must be at least 8 Characters long
- Must contain at least 1 character
- Must contain at least 1 numeral (0-9)
- Must contain at least 1 special character: ~ ^ * - _ + [ ] . / ?
- Disallowed characters: whitespace (spacebar) | %
If both boxes give you a green OK, your password meets the criteria and has been typed correctly twice.
If the first box gives you a red X, your password does not meet the criteria.
If the second box gives you a red X, your password fields do not match each other.
