Logging In

1. Type your username in the Username textbox of the Webmail Login Screen.
   Don't know your username? Go to http://campus.murraystate.edu/mailhelp/loginhelp.htm to find out.
2. Type your password in the Password textbox.
   • For instructions on changing your password, visit Changing Your Password.
3. Click on the Log In button.

Password tips

For a good strong password, make sure your password meets the following criteria.

1. Must be at least 8 Characters long
2. Must contain at least 1 character
3. Must contain at least 1 numeral (0-9)
4. Must contain at least 1 special character: ~ ^ * - _ + [ ] . / ?
5. Disallowed characters: whitespace (spacebar) | %

To make a better password that isn't too hard to remember, try some of these strategies.

1. Avoid passwords that are simply words that you could find in a dictionary.
2. Avoid passwords that are based on your username or data in your profile.
3. Combine parts of different words.
4. Convert some of the characters into numbers or symbols.
5. Insert at least 2 memorable numbers into the middle of strings of characters.
6. Pick a phrase that's meaningful to you and choose one or two letters (maybe the first letter) of each word in the phrase.
7. Try combinations of these strategies to make your password memorable yet secure.
