Faculty Hall will be closed on May 14-15, and possibly May 16th, for electrical repairs. No one will be allowed to enter the building during this period. Relay For Life Activities Cancelled Friday, Held Saturday

Due to inclement weather conditions and safety concerns, the Relay for Life Planning Committee has cancelled the Relay for Life activities for Friday night. Activities will begin Saturday morning at 8AM and will continue until 8PM.

SAFETY ALERT

At Murray State University we are committed to your safety. This alert is to heighten your awareness of safety issues. A approximately 5:40 a.m. on Friday, May 2, 2008, at 1635 Farmer Avenue a shooting occurred. An individual who ran from the residence was located later and transported to Murray Calloway County Hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg. A second individual who fled the scene has been taken into custody. If you have any information about this or other incidents, please contact the Murray State University Public Safety Department at 270-809-2222.

Faculty Hall Update

MSU Facilities staff continue to work in Faculty Hall and will have partial electrical power restored to the building by Thursday, May 1, 2008. At that time there will NOT be power to floors 1, 2 and 4. Students are advised to check their email for notices from faculty members announcing alternate locations for evening classes on May 1. All classes will be held. In addition to email communication, notices of class relocations will be posted at Faculty Hall. We will continue to provide updates as they are available.

March for Life of Murray- Saturday

The Murray State Students for Life and the LifeHouse Care Center are hosting a MARCH FOR LIFE OF MURRAY on April 26th @ 10 am in the Roy Stewart Stadium parking lot. There will be announcments and prayer before we begin walking south on the sidewalks of 641. We will go south until the sidewalk ends, and then return to the stadium. This awareness event is open to anyone who wants to participate. We encourage families, groups, students, and adults to come and stand up for the rights of the unborn. This event will happen, rain or shine, so come out and spread the word about the value of every human life.

AGR Fraternity has teamed up again with Mid-South Pullers Association to host the second annual "Alpha Gamma Rho Charity Tractor Pull." The event will be held April 26, at the Calloway County Fairgrounds starting at 7:00 p.m. All proceeds will help benefit St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. Last year' pull raised $10,000 for St. Jude's!

AGR Fraternity has teamed up again with Mid-South Pullers Association to host the second annual "Alpha Gamma Rho Charity Tractor Pull." The event will be held April 26, at the Calloway County Fairgrounds starting at 7:00 p.m. All proceeds will help benefit St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. Last year' pull raised $10,000 for St. Jude's!
