What do I need to install to use Elluminate?

1. Java Runtime Engine/Java Web Start. If you don't have this, or aren't sure, you can download the software for free at http://www.elluminate.com/support/ under Java Offline Installation Download or at Java's website. Network connection will take approximately one minute. Dial-up connections will be slower.
2. You will need speakers and a microphone to participate in Elluminate sessions. A webcam may or may not be required, depending on your use of Elluminate Live! and the instructor's requirement. Webcams can be purchased for about $25 from major electronic suppliers.
3. Please use the 30 minutes prior to the start of the session to test your audio settings and system settings. To do this, go to Tools > Audio > Audio Set-Up from within the Elluminate session.

Tips

1. To improve performance, keep the number of open background programs to a minimum.
2. Limit the number of distractions before you begin your session. Work in a quiet room, and turn phones, televisions, and radios off.
3. Use the 30 minutes before the session begins to check your microphone and speaker settings and to become familiar with the Elluminate features. To do this, go to Tools > Audio > Audio Setup Wizard from within the Elluminate session.
