LESSON SEVEN - Run Scandisk (aka Checkdisk or Error checking) weekly

In this lesson, you will learn how to run Scandisk, which will scan your hard drive for errors.
Running Scandisk may also tell you if your drive might fail in the near future.

Note: The screens were captured in Windows XP; consequently screens and instructions may
slightly differ depending on the version of Windows that you use.

To scan your disk, do the following:

1. Close all programs that you have running
2. Right-click on Start (bottom left of your computer)
3. Select Explore
4. Right-click on the (C:) drive
5. Select Properties on the (C:) drive menu

Right-click on Start, select Explore, Right-click on drive (C:) and select Properties from the menu
