--Help--

I. The Search Page

The search Page is comprised of two parts. One is the Search Criteria area and the other is the Menu. The Search Criteria area lets you refine your search to help you get your results faster and in a manner easier for you to look through. In this section you are required to select a semester and fill in at least one of the other fields. Although, you can fill in more than one field for a more narrow search. The Menu section contains links to helpful information. and the ability to turn off the Virtual Schedule, for more information on the Virtual Schedule read the section III.

II. The Results Page

The results page, like the search page, is made up of two parts, your results and a menu. Your results are displayed in a minimal format, containing the entry number, department, class and section number, and the credit hours of the class. To the left of the class information you have the option to add the class to the Virtual Schedule (more on that in Section III). And to the right you have the option to view that classes individual information. This information has the instructors name, location of the class, time of the class, number of currently enrolled students, and other pertinent information on the class. The Menu for this section has buttons to expand all the classes, to perform a new search, and to view your current Virtual Schedule. Also it has other notes and message you need to be aware of. Refer to the menu every time you visit this site, as there may be new announcements.

III. The Virtual Schedule

IIIa. General
The Virtual Schedule is a planning tool for student to lay out their schedule. It allows the student to quickly add and delete classes from an "online note pad." This procedure requires that your browser be able to process JavaScript. Almost all new browsers support JavaScript, if your browser is a version 4 browser (ex. Internet Explore 4, Netscape Navigator 4) or above you should be fine. To test your browser click here. If a window did not pop up then you need to turn off the Virtual Schedule option. The first time you add a class to the Virtual Schedule it will create a pop-up window that will contain your class information. If you close your class schedule window don't worry the information is still there, the next time you add a class or press the "View Virtual Schedule" button on the Menu section of the results page, your schedule will pop back up.

IIIb. Layout
The Virtual Schedule is laid out into three sections. The first section is just a list of the class you have added. Here you can view the fully expanded entry of the class and also delete classes you don't want anymore. Some classes have required labs, theses two entries will be "locked" to each other. You won't be able to delete the lab, you have to delete the class and the lab will go with it. Also, the first section contains two options, one to clear all classes and the second lets you turn the schedule black and white for better printing. The second section is the table view of your classes. This is a more visual layout of your classes, it show you the classes laid out in a "day-planer" style grid. If you have any conflicts between classes, they will show up as a black square with the conflict number. The third section only shows up if you have any conflicts. For each conflict you will be given the option to delete one or more of the conflicting classes, once again you won't be able to delete a required lab by itself.

This schedule is updated daily at 3:00 am.

Adding classes to the Virtual Schedule does not imply that you are registered for that class. The Virtual Schedule is here to help you plan for your classes. You will need to use Racer-Touch to enroll in classes.
