Message from Linda Miller, CIO to campus faculty -
"We have received administrative approval to move from Blackboard to Canvas this summer beginning with summer classes. As you are well aware, this will create the need for very aggressive activity on all of our parts. Within the next few days you will be receiving an email with "Instructions for Getting Started with Canvas" This will help you experiment with creating your own content and/or moving your course materials into your new Canvas classes, and also information about training. Keep your eye on your inbox.
We are well aware that this will take effort on your part - and for faculty teaching summer classes there isn't a great deal of time to get comfortable with the new system. We want you to know that we will do everything in our power to reduce the burden on you. We sincerely believe that you and your students will find that this new system supports learning while freeing you to focus more on your teaching and less on the using the tools. Please keep in touch and let us know of your concerns. We do appreciate your patience as we work our way through this."
