The following operating systems and browsers are fully tested and certified by Blackboard:

• Windows 2000 running Internet Explorer 6 or Firefox 1.0 or higher
• Windows XP running Internet Explorer 6 or Firefox 1.0 or higher
• Macintosh OS 10.3 running Internet Explorer 5.2 or Safari 1.2 or higher
• Blackboard does not support any of the current AOL browsers. We strongly urge you NOT to use the AOL browser or the IE version that comes with AOL for Blackboard.
• You must have cookies enabled in your web browser. Blackboard uses cookies to track your progress through your classes. Most browsers are pre-configured with cookies enabled. For assistance, call the Help Desk at (270) 809-2346.

Existing Users:

1. From the E-Study Center, go to the Login Page by clicking the "User Login" button.
2. Type in your Username (same as your MSU email username which you can view in the PIN System, ex: john.doe)
3. Type in your password.
4. Click the login button.

New Users:

     Because new passwords are random, you must follow the instructions below to Reset Your Password.

Go to the Lost Password page and choose Option 1 only, and type in your first name, last name, and Blackboard username as they appear in Blackboard.

Your Blackboard username is the same as your Murray State email username (everything in front of the @ symbol). You can find your Murray State username by logging into the PIN system by looking under your personal information.

An email is then sent to the email address you have listed in Blackboard (usually their MSU) with a link to set a new password.

If you would like to change your password for Blackboard, login, choose "Personal Information" from the left-hand menu, and click "Change Password" in the page that follows.

If you would like Blackboard to send email to another email account that you use, login, choose "Personal Information" from the left-hand menu, and click "Edit Personal Information" in the page that follows. In the first section, you will find a place to write your new email address. Finally, click Submit at the bottom of the page.

If you prefer to use another email address, we recommend that you continue to use your Murray State email address for Blackboard and then forward your email to your other address using this guide.
