Mission
The mission of the Office of Sponsored Programs is centered upon customer service and encompasses the following activities to assist MSU faculty, administrators and students in their pursuit of external grant and contract funding:
- developing or expanding proposal ideas
- identifying faculty/staff with similiar interests
- identifying potential funding sources
- obtaining and interpreting guidelines (when requested)
- assisting in planning a proposal (when requested)
- assisting in developing a budget
- assisting in completing forms
- reviewing proposal and providing feedback (when requested)
- editing proposal (when requested)
- facilitating proposal and contract routing (attorney, accounting, President)
- coordinating proposal negotiations
- disseminating award document
- assisting in technology tranfer
- assisting in copyright issues
- providing grant proposal writing
- offering grant proposal development training
- developing regional, domestic and international projects
