Murray State University purchases furniture from Kentucky State Contracts.  Not all items from each manufacturer are available at contract prices.  Each contract specifies particular authorized dealers for their furniture. 

Departments wishing to make furniture purchases should contact the authorized dealer(s) listed below to obtain quotes.  The dealers listed represent numerous furniture manufacturers and can assist with the following:

• Design Options
• Dimensions
• Recommendations based on budget constraints, usage needs and space constraints
• Information about particular lines available on each contract 
• Quotes for installation of the furniture purchased.

Payment:

If the total price of the furniture is within the departments PCard limit, it is recommended that the order be placed directly with the dealer and paid for with the PCard.  Furniture purchases which exceed the PCard limit are required to be entered on a requisition in Banner and the order will be placed by Procurement Services.

Additional Information:

• Pricing listed on vendors website does not reflect MSU's discount which averages about 50% on most items.
• It is recommended that the quote obtained be reviewed by the Purchasing Agent prior to entering the requisition to ensure that items are properly entered for inventory purposes.
• The purchase of pressed wood furniture or poor quality chairs is prohibited as these items will not hold up and represent a poor use of University funds.
