Humanities 212.

Humanities 212 is a survey of literary and philosophical works representing modern societies, with attention to diverse perspectives.  Readings and discussions are organized to explore three central themes in a movement outward--from attention to individual experience ("Self") through confrontation with differences ("Other") to broader cultural concerns ("Community").

This site includes many electronic text versions of the basic course readings and online resources for the additional study of those texts.
