Humanities 211.

Humanities 211 is a survey of significant works of Western literature and philosophy from Homer through Voltaire, with an emphasis on intellectual continuity.  The course is built around an exploration of the development of three themes--self, other, and community--and the interactions between them.

The site includes many electronic text versions of the basic course readings and online resources for the additional study of those texts.
