revelations that Democratic find-raiser Johnny Chung had methodically funneled
contributions from an officer of the Peoples' Liberation Army (the Red
Chinese military) into President Clinton's 1996 re-election efforts should
be considered the last straw. Unlike nearly every other illegality
and immoral act of the last six years, the president's defenders this time
