I am always very glad to talk with students about the possibility of undergraduate or graduate research projects. I am currently working with an undergraduate on a project, and there are many more problems available. Come and see me if you're interested.

I am currently working on computable model theory. Some of my most recent preprints are listed below. Other preprints may be found here.

  • "On three notions of effective computation over R," [Submitted to Logic Journal of the IGPL] pdf

  • "Metric structures and probabilistic computation," [Submitted to Theoretical Computer Science pdf

  • "Real computable manifolds and homotopy groups," with R. Miller, accepted for publication in Unconventional computation 2009 (Lecture Notes in Computer Science), June 2009. pdf

  • "Probabilistic computation and stochastic differential equations," submitted to Journal of Symbolic Logic, September 2009. pdf

  • "Some results on R-computable structures," submitted to Effective mathematics and the uncountable 2008 (Lecture Notes in Computer Science), June 2009. pdf

  • I am assigned to Clark College. You can read more about Murray State's Residential College system here.

  • I am currently participating in the West Kentucky Mathemathics Partnership, a professional development project for middle school mathematics teachers. I have also been involved in the West Kentucky Partners in Math and Science Education, which worked with teachers in grades K-8. I am available for separately arranged professional development programs. Contact me if you are interested in arranging something for your school.

  • I also worked in several service capacities while a graduate student at Notre Dame in the academic years 2000-2005. Information on some of these activities may be found here.
