CATEGORY DEFINITIONS FOR POSTER PRESENTATIONS:

ABSTRACT:  Title is a good index to content, objective and clear to reader, methods briefly but sufficiently described, results and conclusions clearly stated, concise synopsis of presentation.

CONTENT:  Objective or hypothesis clearly stated, methods described briefly but adequately, data sufficient and analysis appropriate, conclusions follow from results and were clearly summarized.

ORGANIZATION:  Thesis well presented and argued logically, clear and reasonable progression of ideas.

PRESENTATION STYLE:  Topics clear, good balance of illustrations and explanation, presenter knowledgeable and courteous.

FIGURES/ TABLES:  Figures and tables clear and readable, not cluttered with unnecessary information, effective at quickly conveying a point, enhance and do not detract from presentation.  Text and illustrations easy to read, effective use of color.

OVERALL:  Presentation as a whole was effective, a truly professional contribution
