1st Order Lever

  • Fulcrum is between the effort (in-force) and resistance (load)- like a seesaw.                   
  • In-force and out-force move in opposite directions.

  • To move the load, the in-force must exceed the resistance force of the load (weight). 

  • Greater MA (power) when the fulcrum is closer to the load and further from the effort; greater VR (speed) when fulcrum is closer to the effort.
