Exercise 9:

Using Digital, Scanned & Saved Pictures


 


In this Exercise you will need to begin searching for and saving agriculturally-related pictures from the internet.  To save a picture from the internet, or a background, follow the steps below in saving:

        To save a picture:
            Find picture
            Right click on picture
            Choose save picture as
            Label picture file name and save to A: drive

        To save a background:
            Find background
            Right click on background wanted
            Choose save background as
            Label background file name and save to A: drive

       To resize pictures:
            Once pictures are saved reopen the picture file
            Right click and hit properties
            Adjust pixel sizes as need

To Do:  Find a picture related to Agricultural Biotechnology and put the picture (small downsized version) into
             Exercise 7 spreadsheet to the right of the title information at top.

If you need to take any digital pictures of any items or places for your presentations or web page you may do so by checking the digital camera out from Ms. Cassidy Wilson here in the Agriculture Office for an hour or so.  All you need is a disk to shoot the image.

Practice saving these pictures and backgrounds while you are looking for pictures to use in the up-coming powerpoint and web page exercises.
