Exercise 15:

Purchasing Computers

Purchasing computers is an expensive task and should be done with caution.  Just as with a car purchasing computers can bring with it many decisions on "add-ons" such as additional RAM, disk drives, ZIP disk drives, printers, etc.

To get a feel of what types of computers are available and their expense please go the following web site:

    www.gateway.com    or    www.gw2k.com

This site is for Gateway Computers.

While there click on purchase personal computers, or educational rates.  Go through and practice pricing 3-4 different computers trying out their options with different "add-ons".

You might be asked to look up a specific model with certain RAM and options for the Final Examination.

To have one of these computers shipped to your front door is usually around $100.

Due Date:  Nothing Due (Just be sure you can do it)
