Up to 25" in height.  Forms patches or thickets by way of suckering.l  6"-12" long leaves, which have an unpleasant odor when bruised.  Fruit is 3"-5" long, 1.25"-1.75" thick, and is rumored to taste something like a banana when it ripens in September.
