| Needles stiff, sharp, pointed, angular/square, white powdery. Sessile on sterigmata (lack a petiole). Bark flaky and peely. Cones hang in pendant-like fashion. Branches make whorls going up the tree. Female cones on top; male cones below. . .prevents self polination/inbreeding. |
