| Alternate, simple, finely serrated leaves. Petiole glandular, cyanide bitter taste at base of leaf (anti herbivore mechanism). Immature bark is shiny smooth with long horizontal lenticils. Old bark forms plates, but lenticils remain horizontal. Long white flower inflorescence. |
