| 4.5"-7"long, with a tiny head and mouth. Dark brown to black above, with many gray to grayish-yellow lichen-like patches. Black belly, often with tiny flecks. Found in a variety of forested and plain/farmland areas, near temporary ponds and occasionally near streams. Another spring migrating pond breeder with complete metamorphosis. |
