Lesser Siren

 
 

7"-27" long, can use siren characters to tell it from other species.  Brown, gray, or blackish above.  Tail compressed with a fin and pointed tail tip.  Lesser sirens live in ponds, swamps, or other still water.  They have internal fertilization.
