| 1.25”-2.5” long, bright green, yellow, or greenish-gray with a sharply-defined light stripe along the upper jaw and side of body. Large toe pads. Voice: Cowbell like at a distance; nearby, it is a quank, quank; males call while holding onto vertical stems in or near water. Live in vegetation near permanent water. Breeds April to September. |
