Course Components As outlined in the syllabus , the course will have Exams, a Preparation component, a Participation component, Quizzes, and a comprehensive Final Exam. The Participation component will be through our MyMathLab portal, which you must register for.
Policies and Important Dates
Policies and requirements for the course may be found in the syllabus ; a daily course timeline is also available. Of particular significance this semester is the Participation Component and the additional role of office help. A portion of that is a policy on electronic devices, written because it is well documented that use of electronic devices in class harms the learning in the class not just for the student using the device but for the students around that person. A few examples include

Getting Help and Accessing my Schedule and my Email
It is important to keep up to date in the class. Please ask questions in class and come by my office outside of class to ask questions as well. Request another time if my office hours are not convenient and if I can meet then we will. You may also email me questions. You may check my calendar to remind yourself of office hours and Exam dates. Occasionally a meeting or other event might occur during a regularly scheduled office hour (this will be avoided whenever possible) The moment that such a meeting is scheduled, I'll update my calendar to reflect this. Thus, by checking my schedule, you'll know before you drop by, that an office hour has had to be cancelled.
