Historic Interpretation Internship
Catalog Description
This course will provide on-the-job training in historical interpetation for museums, public or private agencies and historic sites. Each student will be placed in an internshjip (generally for twelve weeks in the summer) in which he or she will work in an interpretive capacity and conduct a major research project related to the historic nterpretation programs of the agency. The student will present the resultsof this research in a formal paper to a designated advisor in the Department of History. This course will count as part of the major, but no student will be allowed to repeat the course for credit.
HIS 599 is offered every semester and during the summer session.
