MKT 475 Lab Exercise on Pricing


Chapter 8 discussed trends in pricing strategy, given several factors related to technology. You now should be familiar with the different types of pricing strategies and tactics and their purposes. The topics in Chapter 8 related to any type of business, not just the challenges faced by those who design web sites.

You will visit each of the company web sites listed below and record the type of business each company competes in, the type(s) of tools/services each offers regarding the pricing issues in the chapter (i.e., what benefits would their customers receive regarding pricing issues and/or decisions?). What are some common terms used within these companies' web sites? For each company, write one or two brief sentences summarizing what you found.
